Job Description

Broadridge is Growing! We are looking for a hardworking and upbeat coder and designer to join our product team on contract basis in a remote capacity. This individual will be responsible for coding and customizing emails, as well as providing design support for a wide range of digital products. An understanding of our brand and core products will be combined with your HTML coding best practices to craft engaging designs and rock-solid email code.

Responsibilities:

  • Your role will be split between email HTML coding (70%), helping design (30%) new personalization modules and versioning emails to support segmentation strategies
  • Understand brand guidelines / work with our clients’ brand assets and guidelines
  • Make recommendations to improve and optimize our communications through better content, coding and personalization
  • Craft dynamic, reusable code to support communication personalization via dynamic content
  • Work with team leadership to learn and apply Broadridge standard methodologies
  • Support other teams with design requests to help them align with planned email templates
  • Work cross-functionally with QA, Client Services, Development and Product teams in an end-to-end process
  • Keep ahead of trends in the market to ensure emails are optimized for delivery and viewing.
  • Provide thought leadership. Challenge the status quo to push the boundaries of where we are now, to where we want to be.

Qualifications

  • Strong HTML coding skills required, adhering to email & industry standard methodologies for bullet-proof HTML
  • Degree in Art, Graphic Design
  • Experience with Responsive Mobile Email Design
  • Ability to hand code email HTML from PSD’s
  • 2+ years of online creative development, effectively focused on dynamic, personalized email content
  • Knowledge of email optimization, CAN-SPAM laws & design standards to optimize across devices required. Knowledge of ADA web requirements a plus.
  • Ability to make coding and design recommendations based on email delivery and usage stats
  • Outstanding design abilities – combining creative flair with marketing know-how and technical skills
  • Excellent time-management skills, organization and project management skills
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot coding issues and quickly make adjustments

Technical Skills:

  • HTML/CSS
  • Javascript a plus
  • Photoshop / Illustrator
  • Sketch / XD knowledge a plus
