Job Description

The Portfolio Management Consultant role is to be part of a team supporting a global client with the development and implementation of the portfolio management operating model. The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing change management strategy, communication plan and plans that maximize adoption and usage while minimizing resistance. The incumbent will focus on both the people and process side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, roles and responsibilities and organization structures.

While the Portfolio Management Consultant may or may not have supervisory responsibility, this person will have to work with many stakeholders in the organizational hierarchy to succeed. The Change Manager will act as an advisor for senior leaders and executives in helping them fulfil project goals. The Manager will also support project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans.

Key Elements:

· Developing and implementing a change management plan and communication plan

·Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.

·Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies to support the adoption and embedding of the changes.

·Capital Planning/Portfolio, Program, Project Management Systems experience

Responsibilities:

· Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.

· Developing and managing the change management and communications management strategy and plans.

· Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.

· Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.

· Performing requirements analysis.

· Documenting and communicating the results of efforts

· Effectively communicating insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.

· Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.

· Working closely with central team to manage change management related activities, including facilitate meetings, stakeholder management, internal task management and planning

· Providing training, coaching, and guidance to team and stakeholder arising from work

· Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.

· Facilitating and managing user acceptance testing with new system tools

· Managing projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance.

· Updating, implementing and maintaining procedures.

· Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.

· Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.

· Managing competing resources and priorities.

· Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience

· A bachelor’s degree in business or related field or an MBA.

· A minimum of 5 years’ experience in business analysis or a related field.

· Must have infrastructure Capital Program / Capital Portfolio Management experience.

· Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

· The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.

· Advanced technical skills, with change management experience and skills

· Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.

· High competency is flow diagram, planning, presentations and documentation

· A track record of following through on commitments.

· Excellent planning, organizational, and time management

· A history of leading and supporting successful projects.
