The Finance VP Chief of Staff (CoS) will be a key partner and adviser to Broadridge’s CFO and have responsibility for day-to-day operations for the Office of the CFO. The CoS will be asked to increase the productivity of the Finance organization, integrate connected workstreams across the functional areas of Finance and lead the communication between the leadership team and the broader Finance organization. The CoS will also partner with the senior HR partner on Finance’s talent calendar and associate engagement action pillars. He/She will also be asked to assist in developing the Finance 3.0 vision as well as manage critical initiatives. He/She will be required to be an excellent presenter (written and verbal), draft presentations and clearly communicate to executive audiences.

Typically, the role has been a two to four-year rotational role that is a springboard to significant roles within Finance or the business.

Responsibility

  • Partner with Corporate Planning on communications to the BOD, Executive Committee and ELT for the CFO office
  • Own the budget for the Finance organization
  • Make time, information and decision processes across Finance more effective
  • Strengthen the “university culture” of continuous learning
  • Act as integrator connecting work steams that would otherwise remain siloed
  • Build a top team in Finance
  • Drive cultural evolution participating in policy setting with the CFO
  • Execute the Talent Calendar
  • Oversee the Associate Engagement action pillars and have a finger on the pulse of the organization
  • Own the agenda for the CFO Office (e.g. All Hands). Lead communicator linking the leadership team and the broader organization
  • Lead the Finance Leadership Team to ensure that priorities are executed in a timely manner and presented at a high standard. Air traffic controller for the FLT.
  • Independent and objective member of the Finance Leadership Team

Preferred Background & Skills

Technical/Functional:

  • Strong project-management skills along with disciplined organization and detail orientation
  • Consistent record of high performance, financial, strategic and operational leadership
  • Excellent analytical, financial and business management skills with deep understanding of P&L management
  • Deep understanding of Finance data flow and tools
  • Outstanding ability to communicate and break down complex ideas into understandable and actionable messages

Leadership:

  • Proactive mindset and a relentless passion to win
  • Effective and inspiring team leadership skills with proven ability to hire and train top talent and inspire through coaching and recognition
  • Highly collaborative individual who can influence multiple internal partners to drive results in a matrixed environment
  • Extensive project management expertise and experience in transformation
  • Global experience: broad and in -depth international market and cultural perspective
  • Ability to balance attention to detail and accuracy with tight deadlines on critically meaningful work

Experience:

  • 10+ years of applicable experience
  • CFA or MBA preferred
