We are soon opening a newly constructed, health-conscious café/restaurant conveniently located right in the heart of vibrant downtown Portsmouth and are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious Prep/Line Cook to assist in the preparation of various dishes in the kitchen. We are looking for an experienced, skilled cook who will be able to function as part of a team in a busy, fast-paced environment. As a prep cook at our café/restaurant, you will be part of a brand-new high-level restaurant concept here in Portsmouth from the ground up, working on state-of-the-art equipment in the cleanest work environment in town with a fresh new team. Your position responsibilities will include:
Complete opening and closing duties
Learning how to use our state of the art equipment and using our Standard Recipes for preparation and portioning of all products
Understand and comply consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
Cook and prepare a variety of food and drink products including vegetables, juices, smoothies, soups, fruits, poultry, meats, seafood, and sauces
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty.
