RESPONSIBILITIES:

-The Counselor Assistant implements and coordinates a proactive array of comprehensive, individualized services for patients and performs administrative work in support of the program.

-Perform patient intake, orientation, and assessment functions.

-Maintain accurate, timely, legible case notes and document groups within 24 hours. Document developments and important events in the staff log; complete incident reports in accordance with clinical policies for reporting and record keeping.

-Facilitate psycho educational groups as assigned, and document within 24 hours.

-Ability to work evening, weekend, and/or holiday shifts may be required, as program schedule requires.

-Some local travel required

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

-High School Degree is required; an Associates or Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

-(Demonstrable pursuit of CRSW certification with timetable for achievement acceptable.)

-Hold a valid driver's license, responsible driving record, and ability to produce evidence of insurance upon hire.

EXPERIENCE:

As may have been gained through coordinating and implementing comprehensive, individualized services for patients facing substance use.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

-Ability to develop rapport with substance-use disordered populations and family members.

Demonstrate appropriate boundaries.
