We are looking for an experienced Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join our team.

Primary Function:

Under limited supervision, performs electronic or electro-mechanical production subassembly operations to buildup and assemble units of moderate complexity such as modules, chassis, cable harnesses and other electronic assemblies. Works from production/assembly instructions, BOMs, diagrams, verbal instructions and notes to assemble, wire and install a wide variety of components. Identifies and selects components that will be integrated into subassembly and assembly units.

Essential Duties:

Perform intermediate tasks to include PCB surface preparation, fastening of hardware, cable routing, and rework of assemblies

Proficient use of basic hand tools, soldering irons, and light power tools

Accurately completes process paperwork

Support continuous improvement activities and participates in problem solving activities

Maintain a clean and orderly work area

Follow established procedures on routine work with limited supervision, requires detailed instructions only on new assignments

Maintain a high level of Quality Standards

Qualifications and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent

Mechanical aptitude

Experience building from mechanical and electrical drawings

3+ years' experience Soldering Electrical and Electronic Assemblies

General computer skills

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Command of the English language, both written and verbal

Good hand dexterity and hand-eye coordination

Willingness to be trained as assembly processes improve

Highly motivated, self-starter, capable of working independently as well as in a team setting

Current IPC J-STD-001 certification preferred

Safety Requirements:

Must follow all safety requirements of the job as outlined in the safety policy

May be required to handle hazardous waste and follow proper safety procedure for storage and disposal

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and or arms to pull handles and push buttons and reach objects. Requirements may also include climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching or crawling. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
