Salem, NH manufacturer of infrared photodetectors seeks experienced technician to work with engineering staff to troubleshoot and calibrate electronic test equipment and to build/implement new optical/electrical test equipment.
Roles / Tasks:
- Setup and validation of test equipment.
- Support installation and initial validation of production test stations.
- Maintain list of equipment for calibration to support Quality
- Perform calibration on in-house serviced equipment.
Engineering Technician Requirements:
Knowledge of fundamental electronic principles.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical schematics, test plans
Performs moderately complex technical functions in support of engineering development activities such as assembly, modification, installation and test electronic, optic, and electromechanical systems. Works from limited documentation, schematics, diagrams, notes and drawings.
Able to execute test and debug procedures to troubleshoot electrical sub-assemblies, including use of: oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters and programmable power supplies.
Repairs and maintains test device equipment using hand tools, power tools, & precision measuring and testing instruments. Ability in testing calibration, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of complex test equipment.
Proficiency with Excel for data collection and analysis
Analyze and effectively present technical information. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Ability to generate documents such as work instructions, test procedures and test reports.
Participate in continuous improvement activities including fixture development and process improvement.
Requirements:
Associate’s or technical degree 2 yrs. or equivalent experience level
