Welder/ Fabricator - Misc. Metals & Structural Steel
Full time welder/ fabricator needed for busy miscellaneous metals & structural steel fabricator located in Lawrence, MA. The position requires 5+ years' experience in the miscellaneous metals or structural steel fields.
Required to:
Read/ Interpret sketches and shop drawings.
Read & understand weld symbols
Utilize tape measure
Layout/ tack weld assemblies
Pass welding test for mig welding mild steel wide flange beams, tube, pipe, channels, angles, & plate; certified horizontal and vertical
Operate press brake, shear, iron worker/ punch, & drill press
Operate overhead crane & forklift
Torch & saw cut materials
Grind & clean materials/ assemblies
Properly label materials
Preparation of materials for painting
Load, band, and stack materials in an orderly manner to prepare for delivery
Assist in loading and unloading deliveries
Maintain safe operating procedures
Wages are commensurate with experience. This full-time position is eligible for full company benefits including; 401K, health and dental insurance, paid vacation, and holidays.
