Welder - Misc. Metals & Structural Steel
Full time welder needed for busy miscellaneous metals & structural steel fabricator located in Lawrence, MA. The position requires 2+ years' experience in the miscellaneous metals or structural steel fields. Will entertain experienced candidates from other construction trades that require certified welding.
Required to:
Pass welding test for mig welding mild steel wide flange beams, tube, pipe, channels, angles, & plate; certified horizontal and vertical
Read & understand weld symbols
Utilize tape measure
Operate press brake, shear, iron worker/ punch, & drill press
Operate overhead crane & forklift
Torch & saw cut materials
Grind & clean materials/ assemblies
Properly label materials
Preparation of materials for painting
Load, band, and stack materials in an orderly manner to prepare for delivery
Assist in loading and unloading deliveries
Maintain safe operating procedures
Learn to read/ interpret sketches and shop drawings.
Wages are commensurate with experience. This full-time position is eligible for full company benefits including; 401K, health and dental insurance, paid vacation, and holidays.
