Job Description

Following general supervision from the Quality Director – Regulatory Compliance, responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance by performing Airworthiness Directive administrative tracking and control, Major Repair/Alteration management, Technical Response management, Receiving Specification authoring.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Monitors Federal Register for pending rulemaking related to Airworthiness Directives and other regulatory notification processes. i.e.; NPRMs, SAFOs, InFOs, etc and coordination of subsequent implementation needs to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Review new and revise Quality Procedures, Process Specifications and General Work Instructions to ensure that they have been prepared in accordance with company procedures and comply with external and internal quality system requirements. This review will include any and all referenced documents and forms. Acceptable documents will be approved by this individual whereas unacceptable documents will be returned to the author for correction.
  • Monitor EASA and other NAA regulatory bodies including DOD.
  • Major Repair and Alteration reporting evaluation, recording, and FAA submission.
  • Liaison with FAA concerning airworthiness regulation compliance issues.
  • Coordinates with aircraft engine manufacturers, lessors and owners during periodic records audits.
  • Coordinates with NADCAP for periodic systems audits.
  • Conduct audit programs for suppliers utilized by the Repair Station. Such audits are to include the supplier’s certification status, facilities, manufacturing data, FAA data, process controls, personnel and training, material handling and stores and quality procedures as specified in this manual.
  • Recommends changes to General Maintenance Manual policies, practices, and procedures.
  • On-site presence is an essential responsibility.
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Promotes and fosters a safe and secure operating environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree in Aviation Maintenance or Engineering, or equivalent practical career experience.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license (preferred).
  • One to two years in airline maintenance/quality program administration environment Part 121 Air Carrier operation or a Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) operation, Part 145.
  • Ability to interpret and work with detailed and complex technical data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
