Nine.com.au, Australia’s largest news, sport and entertainment network, is looking for a Digital Producer to help drive the digital output for 9Entertainment.Our ideal candidate will have a strong interest in Channel Nine’s tentpole shows (MAFS, The Block, LEGO Mastersetc), streaming and general entertainment, is a clean writer with a strong grasp of spelling and grammar who can turn around copy quickly, an SEO whiz and a team player.

The Digital Producer is based out of Sydney, working in the 9Entertainment digital team alongside the digital news, lifestyle, video and social media teams. The role includes finding breaking stories, generating original story ideas, research, writing and curating content for the site; sourcing images, video and other attributes needed for onsite and in social media. Shift work and some weekend work will be required.

• Write and produce content that supports our editorial strategy for Channel Nine’s official TV show websites
• Write and produce content that editorially supports our partners 9Now and Stan
• Work with the editor on content strategy for our shows
• Cover breaking news relating to talent on our shows
• Conduct interviews with talent relating to our shows
• Manage and curating official TV show websites as required during night shifts on a rotation
• Pitch stories in line with our editorial strategy that our audience will love

Qualifications

In order to be successful for this role, you will ideally have:

• An energetic &engaged attitude and be keen to prove yourselfin a busy newsroom environment
• Proven experience writing for digital audiences
• Demonstrated writing skills essential, with proven ability to produce clear compelling copy
• The ability to source original news and feature stories
• Excellent knowledge of the English language, grammar and syntax
• Strong digital platform skills and a working understanding of all social media platforms
• An understanding of legal best practices, including defamation laws
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is preferable
• A passion for reality programs is preferable
