Senior Digital Producer

Job Description

The Senior Digital Producer will be responsible for driving accurate and timely news content. Weekend work and shift work will also be required. We also offer flexibility around work-from-home and location.

• Generating story and video ideas
• Covering breaking news
• Researching and writing original articles and features
• Liaising with TV journalists and our newsrooms around the country
• Uploading content to CMS
• Implementing SEO best practice for all content

Qualifications

In order to be successful for this role, you will ideally have:

• Experience in digital news or relevant publishing experience in print media, broadcast media or online
• Demonstrated writing skills essential, with proven ability to produce clear compelling copy
• Excellent knowledge of the English language, grammar and syntax
• The ability to write concise, timely and accurate news
• Proven ability to work effectively to tight deadlines
• The ability to source original news and feature stories
• Strong understanding of all social media platforms
• A passion for domestic and international news
• Experience with multimedia
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop an advantage
• High level of interpersonal and communication skills
