Exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Roster Team Leader to join our fast-paced Home & Community Services scheduling team based inSurry Hills, NSW.

The Roster Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of an operations team, ensuring quality and timely service delivery whilst meeting compliance requirements. Key emphasis will be on relationship building and progression of Roster Officers to work at the highest standard and to a set system of processes. Experience and knowledge of the aged or community services sector will be advantageous but not essential.

To be successful in this role you will ideally have:

  • Extensive experience in leading a busy team
  • Ability to inspire team members through change and promote a collaborative, positive culture
  • Strong planning and organising skills with a high attention to detail
  • Solid experience in facilitating staff appraisals and undertaking performance management reviews
  • Ability to coach and train staff to upskill and progress the wider team forward
  • Experience in managing incidents and complaints and/or the willingness to learn and undertake this task
  • An excellent telephone manner and ability to build rapport
  • Strong computer literacy with PC based applications (Word, Excel, Email, Internet) and the ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Sound interpersonal skills, reliability, and honesty
  • An enthusiastic “Can Do” attitude is essential
  • Continuous Improvement ideas for the scheduling team or the wider HCS business
