Job Description

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

We are currently looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Administrator to join our busy team which sits within the Finance Shared Transaction Centre.

In this role you will need to enjoy balancing the requirements to provide excellent customer service and processing high volumes of transactions accurately in an efficient manner. This role will see you review documentation in order to create accurate invoices that comply with finance policy and procedures.

Other aspects of the role you will be involved in are;

  • Ensuring invoice requests and credit notes are processed accurately and reconciled efficiently
  • Follow up any coding or supporting document queries with billing requestors
  • Liaising with University staff to resolve customer issues in regard to billing and accounts receivable
  • Reconcile customer accounts and manage customer responses to accounts receivable queries

Our ideal candidate will be experienced in working in a large complex organisation, working to tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment and up to date with current accounts receivable processes.

Important Skills | Nga Pūkenga Motuhake

  • Proficient in Microsoft excel as well as able to pick up the internal, industry specific software quickly
  • Experienced working in a customer-focused environment, with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Good knowledge of accounts receivable and accounting practices
  • Thrive in highly fast-paced, high-volume environment, with excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable professional who will be able to hit the ground running. As we are a large and complex organisation, relevant experience in the business sector will be considered favourably or experience in a similarly complex environment.
