Job Description

The Associate Finance Business Partner will provide management accounting and business partnering services working in collaboration with the Financial Business Services team. This will include providing advice, analysis and provision of management and financial information, budgeting and forecasting and business case support with an approach that is proactive and focusses on problem solving.

This role will use its in-depth knowledge and understanding of business units within the school to provide proactive insight and decision support at both strategic and operational levels to ensure that key organisational initiatives directly link to delivering the business and financial strategy in the long-term which improve departmental performance.

About you | He kōrero mōu

You are likely to be an Assistant Accountant or Accountant ready to take things to the next level, with a natural ability to build working relationships with strong communication skills. You thrive on driving industry best practice and enjoy implementing continuous improvement projects.

To be successful in this role you will need to be tertiary qualified and preferably hold relevant industry qualifications. It would be an advantage to have relevant experience in a similar role or similarly large, complex organisation.

You will also have:

  • An ability to build robust relationships with multiple stakeholders whilst managing expectations will be key to your success in this position
  • Experience in working with large ERP systems, preferably PeopleSoft or Hyperion
  • Skills and experience in continuous improvement initiatives
