Job Description
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunityWe are looking for an experienced Senior Agile Business Analyst to provide expert analysis and consultation activities to a number of key automation projects ensuring that systems and processes are aligned to improve and innovate the University’s services.
Key Accountabilities- Identify and clearly define business requirements for assigned work
- Effectively and efficiently elicit requirements using a range of techniques including facilitating interviews workshops or refinement sessions
- Consult and challenge Business Process Design and recommend changes with a view to creating tangible benefits to the business
As a senior specialist you will also provide project leadership, coaching, mentoring and support for more junior staff members.

Mō tō mātou rōpū | About the teamThe Business Transformation Office (BTO) is part of the Organisational Performance and Improvement (OPI) Service Division. OPI is responsible for the effective delivery and transition of strategic transformation projects, portfolio management and delivery of staff services. BTO provides services, tools and expertise to build and extend the ways in which the University’s services and processes are designed, delivering transformational improvement and innovation.
Qualifications
He kōrero mōu | About youOur ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent knowledge gained through extensive experience. You will have experience leading significant BA projects and assignments within large complex organisations.
Previous experience or understanding of Finance processes and using automation tools like UIPath would be beneficial.
Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills- Knowledge of formal Business Analysis tools and techniques
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working on automation and/or artificial intelligence projects
- Experience working in an Agile delivery environment
- Extensive experience in Change control management and processes
- Ability to work in a fast paced & changing environment
