VMware Datacenter Administration Responsibilities:
  • Directly work with VMware and HPE(c7000) to support, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain server issues and security for the enterprise.
  • Vsphere 6.7, VMware ESXi, VCenter server 6.7, VMware Update Manager, Power CLI.
  • Experienced with planning, installing, configuring, and upgrading support for vCenter Server and VMware ESXi.
  • Managed Windows 2019 Active Directory, Administration of VMware Active directory Exchange Domain and VMware ESXi Servers on HP C7000 Chassis.
  • Implementation and Administration of HP C7000 chassis with virtual connect using VCM.
  • Administering Windows Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and building new windows physical/virtual servers as per the requirement of the project.
  • Contribute to VMware infrastructure design of a new facility, using vSphere, vCenter, and VMware ESXi6.7 to provide a mission-critical production infrastructure.
  • Experienced in installing, configuring, administering Microsoft & Linux operating systems and network switches
  • Experienced with SAN and NAS storage including Fibre Channel switches
  • Able to perform physical installation and cabling of rack-mounted servers and switches
  • Experienced with HPE C7000 enclosures and Virtual connects.

Good to Have Skills - AWS DevOps(Kubernetes/EKS) Responsibilities:
  • At least 3 years of experience developing cloud-native applications preferably using AWS (EKS, S3, ECS, EC2, EFS, EBS, RDS, OpenSearch, ECR, EMR, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with provisioning, maintaining, deploying Kubernetes clusters in production environments, preferably AWS EKS
  • Must have a deep understanding of Kubernetes and Docker architecture and associated tools
  • Experience with deploying and upgrading mission-critical applications on Kubernetes clusters
  • Ability to debug issues with Kubernetes clusters and complex applications hosted on k8s.
  • Experience with writing Kubernetes manifest files and docker files
  • Hands-on experience with provisioning and managing AWS services such as EC2, EBS, S3, IAM, VPC, etc using IAC tools Terraform or Cloud formation
  • Experience in migrating applications from On-premise bare metal to AWS EKS and supporting Hybrid environments
  • Experience with observability, alerting, and tracing of distributed systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, etc
  • Must be able to develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment systems using tools like Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and Helm
  • Understands networking and messaging, especially between services in hybrid architectures
  • Continuously evaluate various parts of the platform for opportunities for security hardening and improvements in observability Evaluate new technologies and industry trends, develop proofs-of-concept and present findings to the engineering organization Communicate with developers and users of our platform to understand pain points, bottlenecks, and desired features to propel improvements.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing industry-standard security and compliance practices for Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, etc
  • Infrastructure as Code development and deployments

Preferred Certifications:

VCP-DCV 6.5 Certified

Also any of the following certifications are plus
  • CCNA Certification
  • AWS certification preferred.
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
