Our client, a privately owned innovative group of companies providing a wide range of financial products and services, is seeking a Sr. Developer (Pricing Engine)
Location: Remote Position Type: Contract Responsibilities:- Design, develop, optimize, and maintain the in-house simulation and pricing engines
- Research and implement parallel computing algorithms, technology, and data structures to improve computation performance
- Develop auto test processes and test cases to ensure numbers are correct and consistent
- Develop and maintain APIs for simulation and pricing engines
- Participate in designing and reviewing architecture and implementation of the Reinsurance Underwriting platform
- Develop backend business logic and the corresponding APIs in the reinsurance underwriting
- Keep the application up to date with the technology advances
- BS degree in computer science, math, or engineering
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Extensive experience in Python programming language
- Strong background and knowledge in statistics, mathematics, and simulation
- Working experience in relational database and SQL language
- Industrial experience in parallel computing is a big bonus
- Experience in Cloud computing is a bonus
- Experience in financial calculations and insurance rating is a bonus
