This individual will collaborate with our business partners, identify and document IT system requirements for business change requests and process improvements, analyze system problems, participate in the design and development of data delivery solutions and standards.
Responsibilities:- Attend Business Requirements, Systems Requirements, Program Increment (PI) planning meetings to understand changes and requirements, focusing especially on changes impacting our department.
- Interpret business specifications to prepare for design/development functions.
- Work closely with business and IT teams to understand change impacts and communicate it properly.
- Work closely with Data Management onsite and offshore team members to define the system impact and solutions using ETL, Script and SQL queries as a tool.
- Create and maintain system’s conceptual, logical, and physical design documents.
- Participate in systems analysis, general systems design, and detail systems design.
- Understand existing applications, process, scope and data and improve application’s systems designs and specifications and utilizing standards, procedures, and techniques.
- Understand high level data flow designs developed by data architects.
- Provide support for production issues.
- Assist developers in understanding system and test case requirements.
- Assist developers with debugging whenever necessary.
- Producing specifications for new or modified systems.
- Identify technology trends and explore opportunities for use within the organization.
- Responsible to acquire training, as needed, and will learn user functions, organization and role in the enterprise to the extent required.
- Data Warehouse, ETL, Scripting and SQL experience with strong analytic and problem solving abilities

- Experience diagnosing problems and troubleshooting production issues
- Project lifecycle implementation experience
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently with minimal supervision as well as work in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Good knowledge of Informatica Power Center, SQL, scheduling tool and Scripting.
- Property Casualty Insurance experience a strong plus
- Experience or knowledge of Insurance Regulatory Reporting and ISO manuals a strong plus
- 5-7 years of experience as DW ETL developer.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Science or related field preferred.
- Programming language knowledge would be a plus
