Role Value PropositionThe Product Enrollment Specialist (PES) will act as a Disability Income Gap Insurance (DIGI) communication, RFP and enrollment expert responsible for the end-to-end employer strategy to drive employee engagement and act as a subject matter expert for the product. The PES is responsible for partnering with internal teams including the Product Director, Account Executive, Client Service Consultants, Marketing and Underwriting, plus build external relationship with Brokers, Customers and Employees to help increase participation in both Regional Market and National account clients to drive DIGI revenue through new sales, on-going annual campaigns as well as marketing support throughout the lifecycle of a customer. Key Responsibilities
Build new, and maintain existing, relationships with partners to increase revenue by driving employee engagement, retention, utilization, and participant growth.
Ensure employer/customer satisfaction through the seamless execution and delivery of effective communications strategies based upon employer/employee needs and goals and delivering high quality communication strategies.
Partners with Product Director in first sale pipeline management and responsible for overall campaign enrollment strategy
Handle 100-200 DIGI RFPs annually to identify suitable, quality customers for the product. Conduct active follow-up discussions with Account Executives and Product Director as the SME.
Manage a book of business of 100-200 existing DIGI clients in both Regional Market (RM) and National Account (NA) clients.
Lead the development of enrollment strategy for new voluntary business including new sales, new eligible/new hire employees, and re-enrollments to educate and engage the customer’s employees allowing them to make an informed decision to purchase coverage.
Conducts employee group presentations, employee one-on-ones and webinar meetings for the customers’ employee population to drive positive participation and revenue.
Engage at implementation to develop and communicate strategies to provide a focused enrollment strategy that will drive positive participation and revenue for the life of a new case.
Attend broker meetings in partnership with Product Director to assist with first sale opportunity discussions as necessary.
Identify process improvement and communication/educational opportunities and working with appropriate business partners to implement changes.
Coordinating the development and maintenance of project plans and status reports to manage and balance multiple projects with competing priorities.
Travel to new and existing customer sites while managing travel expenses according to the MetLife guidelines.
Essential Business Experience and Technical SkillsRequired
3-5+ years of relevant experience
Experience working directly with employer/customers as part of an account team or supporting function.
Life and Health License or ability to obtain within first 6 months of employment as well as FINRA Securities 6 and Securities 63 in the first 12 months
Proficient communication and presentation skills - both in person and within virtual environment
Demonstrated ability to self-manage high volume of diverse work activities and to work independently and build recommendations with little direction.
Ability to "read the room" and focus on the aspects of the communication strategy that resonate most with the employer/customer.
In depth understanding of the communication process, from writing and design through distribution across multiple media (print, internet, video)
A desire to continually improve how we tell MetLife’s engagement story to employers/customers and a natural curiosity to try innovative techniques to engage employers/customers both in person and virtually.
Proven project management success
Undergraduate degree or equivalent business-related experience
Preferred
Advanced understanding and experience of the Disability Income Gap Insurance product
5+ years communications consulting or benefits consulting experience
Experience in product, sales, marketing, or wholesaling in insurance industry (internal, external or combination)
Strong subject matter expertise in MetLife’s products and services
