- Demand : Mobile Application Developer (React Native)
- Location: Topika, KS and Bridgewater, NJ (Initially Remote)
- Duration: Long term contract / Full time Permanent
- Analyze and recommend solutions to expand our existing multi-tenant client and agent portals to support native mobile experiences.
- Subject Matter Expert for mobile application support/development.
- Contribute to projects by creating well-designed, customized, testable, efficient code.
- Write unit and UI tests to identify issues.
- Work as part of a global, cross-functional team to develop innovative software for SE2 stakeholders.
- Coordinate with the product owner to refine product requirements.
- Assist our teams in providing ongoing support, troubleshooting, improvements, or custom enhancements.
- Collaborate with our global teams, internal stakeholders and customers.
- Assist or lead in defining the requirements for custom built software projects.
- 6+ years of software development experience with at least 3 years’ experience in mobile app development.
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Experience developing with Web technology – Angular 8+, Javascript, React, Typescript, ES6, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap.
- Experience with mobile libraries like React Native, Ionic, Cordova, or Flutter. React Native preferred.
- Ability to develop software in the .NET Application Development framework, specifically C# / DotNet Core.
- Experience with all phases of application development – from prototyping to publishing to the App Store or Google Play.
- Understanding of cross-browser support and single page application concepts.
- Demonstrated expertise with software engineering tools (Visual Studio, VS Code, Eclipse, etc) and methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, etc).
- Awareness of advanced technical concepts (examples: design patterns, SOA, SDLC).
- Excellent work ethic. Ability to work and travel independently. Demonstrated strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and highly effective communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work as part of a cross-functional, global team.
- Knowledge and experience working in the insurance/financial industry.
