- Be the leader of each project – ability to establish creditability quickly to manage and organize
- Be the project champion and accept responsibility for the execution and success of all elements of the project
- Possess strong documentation and verbal communication skills – ability to deliver messaging using dashboards, graphs, charts and other visual aid is critical
- Manage project expectations, scope, budget and resources as well as issues and risks
- Work closely with other functional teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of cross-functional technical requirements and interdependencies, as well as timelines, expectations and criteria for success
- Ability to follow enterprise PMO standards and adhere to company project management requirements, such as using Microsoft Project Online, attending PMO meetings, conducting project presentations/education, as well as providing periodic status reporting
- Understand that customer expectation and experience is paramount, all project activities should center around ease of use and efficacy of solutions being delivered
- Take a leadership role in the planning, execution of the Digital Workplace projects while ensuring smooth hand-off to support teams post delivery
- Organize and lead meetings with all necessary group and individuals routinely reporting meeting notes, assigning tasks and surfacing risks, issues, dependencies to proper groups
- Follow established company Project Management Office processes while using Microsoft Project Online
- Document and communicate progress, risks, issues, budget tracking and project plan in Microsoft Project Online
- Engage and drive delivery internally with individuals and with third party partners and delivery firms who will execute on projects
- Project manage all activities performed and report out to leadership and business leaders in effective ways
- Complete all projects on time, on budget and within scope
- Develop and maintain strong communications between all groups
- Effective resource management across all IT functions and others required functions to deliver on projects
- Deliver effective updates at different levels of the organization including SMEs, IT leadership and business leadership on a routine basis while using effective visuals to drive messaging
- Establish relationships with stakeholders, other project managers, service delivery managers and all team members to ensure successful project execution
- Engage with customers, stakeholders, and service delivery managers to update status, negotiate realistic expectations and ensure organization on complex and competing requirements
- Engage with cross-functional leaders and SMEs to coordinate deliverables to the service domain necessary for the proper execution of projects, as well as coordinate shared resources and talents.
- Engage with vendors and off-shore resources to coordinate tasks responsibilities, timelines and deliverables
- Understand and enforce proper pre-deployment testing, including conducting UAT and infrastructure pressure testing prior to all deployments
- Understand and enforce SOX compliance during all phases of the project
- Alert leadership immediately when events transpire that jeopardize the project, its execution or outcomes
- Upon project completion prepare all documents to hand over to SME’s and project owners this includes architecture, standards and policy documents
- Good understanding of Digital Workplace technology (listed below), practices and processes to include an understanding of how they are related and their dependencies on one another:
- PC/Desktop building/reimaging and migration
- Office365 (Exchange, Outlook, OneDrive, TEAMS)
- Unified Communications including Meeting Room Technology
- Active Directory
- Citrix
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, able to convey complex technical ideas, symbology and jargon into laymen language for business decision-makers
- Understand transformation and business alignment in a complex and changing business environment
- Excellent change management skills
- Ability to speak the language of digital workplace technology and understand its context
- Accomplished in establishing business relationships and partnerships
- Experience managing vendors and off-shore resources
- Accomplished in learning new business concepts and devising solutions to meet those needs
- Must possess excellent planning, prioritization, organization and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing business requirements
- Experience with working to establish measurable business outcomes and follow through to verify success or failure
- Knowledge of Digital Workplace technology platforms preferred
- Must have minimum 5 years of experience managing technical projects in a complex business environment adhering to professional project management principles
- Professional Project Management certification is strongly desired; PMP certification is preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Office365 communication tools like Microsoft Teams Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio and OneNote
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Project
