Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Administer WAPT assessment or other ESL screening assessments at direction of school leaders
- Interpret test results and communicate to school leaders with instructional recommendations
- Teach ESL students in small groups or individual sessions
- Create lesson plans based on results of WAPT testing and classroom-based data to drive instruction, fluency, and mastery of English
- Continuously collaborate with classroom teachers to support individual student needs
- Support in administering statewide standardized assessment: ACCESS test
Qualifications
- Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling and implementation of school wide systems and culture
- Prior teaching experience
- Shows professionalism and acceptance of cultural differences in the school community
- Applicant will need to provide three references from past or present ESL teaching positions
- Approximately 10hours per week; hours will need to be between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm
- NJ ESL teaching certification required
- Bachelor’s Degree required

COMPENSATION- Compensation is $40 an hour
