Job Description - Chief Financial Officer
Currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead us through the next stages of our evolution, as we scale our firm from a high growth start-up to a global institution. We power the investing experiences of some of the most innovative Fintechs and brands in the world today. We are constantly dreaming up the future of investing and need a CFO to help take us to that next level. This is a brand-new position to the organization and will report to the CEO/Founder of the company. We have a dynamite team to support you and need a strong leader at the top now! Responsibilities- Translate the strategy of the organization into actionable, quantitative plans for the finance function and each operating area of the firm - set budgets, KPI's and track performance
- Strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and management of cash and capital across all legal entities, including leading fundraising and managing capital structure
- Manage Financial Planning & Analysis - provide data and key insights to help executives leverage numbers and metrics to tell our story, drive sound business decisions and achieve our strategic objectives
- Ensure firm maintains full compliance with all accounting, legal, regulatory and risk guidelines and requirements
- Automate accounting, management and regulatory reporting where possible
- Build and scale our business model and finance team to prepare the company for public company status. Including implementing public company risk management framework, governance and controls
- Board and Investor Relations
- Corporate Development, including M&A
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader with a demonstrated track record of successfully scaling rapid-growth start-ups, including leading later-stage growth financing rounds and taking a company public
- Demonstrated successful track record of building teams and organizations in high-growth environments
- Passion for leveraging technology and data to build a finance function for the future
- Exceptional leadership, management and organizational skills
- Driven, energetic with entrepreneurial mindset
- Possess strong FP&A, US GAAP, M&A experience
- Background in corporate finance, investment banking, fintech, or other high-growth environments
- Previous experience in broker dealer or similarly regulated business is preferred as company has multiple broker dealer entities
- Bachelor's degree in economics, mathematics, finance, accounting or a related field. CPA, CFA or MBA preferred
