Title: Contracts Manager/ Contracts Director Location: Clifton, NJJob Type: Full Time EmploymentDuration: Full Time PositionDescription:The Contracts Director will report to a member of the Executive Team and collaborate with members of the Finance, Proposals, Business Development, Recruiting, HR and Professional Services teams. Please submit a cover letter with resume.The Contracts Director will be responsible for:- Playing a hands-on role in preparing, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of corporate contract agreements with clients, vendors, and partners as needed. These will include Master Services Agreements, Vendor Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Reseller Agreements, Distributor Agreements, a variety of contracting agreements with federal, state, and local government clients, Purchase Orders and Scopes of Work/Services.
- Supervising a Contracts Manager and Contracts Specialist, developing their capabilities further, and delegating work to them as appropriate
- Ensuring that contract completion deadlines are met
- Implementing and enforcing standards for contract review, preparation, and processing
- Evaluating contract risk and escalating potential risks to the Vice President as needed, and communicating issues effectively to the management team
- Executing special projects in the Contracts Department as needed to meet client or internal reporting requests
- Interfacing with both clients and internal departments to negotiate or communicate contract information
- Documenting established negotiation guidelines and creating new guidelines as needed, in collaboration with senior management
- Working with the contracts team to develop and maintain standard form contracts in a variety of areas
- Clearly communicating contracting needs when coordinating with other departments (recruiting, business development, sales, HR, etc.)
- College graduate and at least 4 years’ experience as a contract analyst, contracts manager, paralegal or equivalent.
- Experience in technology services industry or other professional services/consulting industry is required
- Experience with government contracting is required
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task on numerous complex issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated high proficiency for correct spelling, grammar, tone, and syntax
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Web-based research.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with a high volume of assignments in an agile environment
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, commitment to client service, and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including business team members across the Company and outside vendors and consultants
- Ability to understand and clearly explain risk in various scenarios
- Ability to handle privileged, confidential, and sensitive information in an appropriate and professional manner
- Certification as a paralegal or professional contracts manager is preferred
