- 5 – 7 years of private sector sales / business development experience with IT-related firm(s)
- Strong ability to carry out tasks with very little supervision as an independent contributor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines, while organizing and carrying out a number of duties simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills
- Interest in learning more about technology, with a focus on those most relevant to the firm
- Availability to work primarily across the Northeast, with a concentration on the New York City metro area; travel outside that region may be required.
- Develop new client relationships; manage, cultivate and expand existing relationships to drive Spruce’s private sector sales revenue.
- Understand the Spruce service and solution offerings; educate prospects, clients, and partners on the firm’s value proposition, including professional services/solutions, and partner-related offerings.
- Work closely with the Professional Services delivery team to scope solutions, define statements of work, and develop innovative ways to engage with clients.
- Leverage industry expertise to influence clients in IT resourcing strategies.
- Support the Business Development & Strategy team in developing the firm’s sales strategy to increase the pipeline of prospective clients and expand existing relationships.
- Complete regular internal reporting, including updates to internal CRM system and other status requirements.
- Assist with developing marketing and sales material, including proposals, SOWs, job descriptions for client staffing needs, website content, client presentations, etc.
- Contribute to internal process improvements as needed.
- Exceptional professional services sales and solution delivery leadership abilities.
- Experience with C-Level client relationship building and relationship management.
- Experience breaking into new markets.
