Write down and keep up custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
Team up with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
Supply 2nd and 3rd level support
Play a part in the design of information and operational support systems
Sustain backup, redundancy strategies, and security
Configure, test, maintain, and install application software, system management tools, and operating systems
Conduct and keep an eye on all installed systems and infrastructure
Observe and verify application performance for potential bottlenecks, mark possible solutions, and join with developers to instrument those fixes
Establish standards to actively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Requirements
Experience with automation software
Experience with virtualization and containerization is required for success at this position
If you have solid scripting skills, you will be strongly preferred for this position
Candidates who have solid networking knowledge will be the best fit for this position
Experience with monitoring systems
Candidates with proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting various operating systems will be the best fit for this position
Candidates with solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks will be the best fit for this position
Proven knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
Well-founded grasp of PowerShell
Comprehensive knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Practical knowledge of VMware
General familiarity with Linux
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server
MS Windows 10 experience highly desired
Command of Microsoft Windows
