Make It With Pride.Working as part of a cross-functional team you lead the R&D activities required to complete new product development and maintain portfolios and/or productivity projects keeping in mind the goal to deliver the desired consumer experience.How you will contributeYou will work independently to plan, lead and coordinate technical projects in line with R&D, marketing and manufacturing requirements You will effectively communicate status and risks and plan, lead and coordinate pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements. In addition, you will plan, lead and coordinate development activities (e.g. product shelf-life testing, designing for quality, consumer test preparation. etc.). To provide direction for product development, you will use digital simulation models to obtain, understand and interpret consumer insights and commercial information. More about this roleWhat you need to know about this position:Candidate will lead platform programs for Oreo, Belvita and key regional jewels to be implemented on a specific region or across multiple regions. Candidate will own the product development for innovation and renovation projects which could go from idea generation, recipe development, scale up process to product qualification. The candidate will be the R&D product leader, and will interact with marketing, process development and quality leads among other to develop, coordinate and qualify projects/programs.What extra ingredients you will bring: Strong understanding of ingredient functionality and impact to processing. Drive excellence in Project Management. Plan and executes work plans, including development of risk assessments and contingency plans. Analyze results of experiments and translate them into actionable recommendations with minimal guidance and support. Have strong knowledge of the commercialization process. Identify and efficiently utilize necessary resources to achieve timely delivery of project objectives. In addition, the candidate should have good understanding of the functional characteristics of ingredients, and processing capabilities and how they impact the finished product, to meet consumer and business expectations. The candidate must be versatile and be able to work in cross-functional teams. The candidate must be capable of working proactively across multiple projects. The candidate should be able to leverage the value in MDLZ experts/partners and ensure compliance to quality documentation, regulatory requirements, IP, and confidentiality requirements.Education / Certifications:BS in Food Science, Chemical Engineering or related fieldJob specific requirements: Minimum of 8 yrs. experience, preferably in the food industry. Strong technical foundation and technical curiosity. Ability to develop, plan for, and carry out plant trials Able to develop and drive technical projects with proper scientific rigor: conduct appropriate testing, gather and analyze data, and develop recommendations based on findings. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and manage complexity- from bench top to commercialization. Participate in cross functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues. Write process specifications that deliver consistent, high-quality products across numerous manufacturing facilities.
