At Optum, we are transforming healthcare nationally while providing physician-led care locally.Primary Responsibilities:Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment

Room patients, obtain health history, check vital signs and perform EKG’s

Administer injections and collect specimens

Document patient care using electronic medical record software

Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals, answer calls and complete paperwork as needed

Assist physicians, nurse practitioners or physician assistants with minor, in-office procedures

Preferred Qualifcations:Experience as a Medical Assistant performing clinical back office duties including phlebotomy, injections, obtaining vital signs and recording medical history

Experience with Epic EMR
