If yes,come join one of the largest off-price retailers in the nation- join the Burlington Stores team as an Import Testing – Audit Specialist!The Import Testing – Audit Specialist Is responsible for supporting the Product Safety Compliance program at Burlington Stores and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and federal regulatory guidelines. Specific knowledge and/or experience of one or more of the following regulatory environments: Consumer product safety (CPSC) regulations & standards: FDA, home goods, cosmetics, children/baby products, electronics, footwear and/or import regulations and standards.Work with vendors and buyers to adhere to strict deadlines while requesting and reviewing testing reports to ensure on-time sailing of import shipments. Place and remove holds on POs in freight forwarder system to ensure Burlington has all required documentation and remains compliant.

Partner with the Legal Department and outside partners to stay informed on all changes to testing guidelines to ensure Burlington Stores remains compliant. Ensure all documentation is properly stored as per CPSC and CBP regulations.

Ensure all children’s products are tested at a CPSC approved lab, review laboratory assessments, and determine if acceptable according to state and federal regulatory laws. Issue Children’s Product Certificates (CPC) and General Conformity Certificates (GCC) on required items.

Identify products in need of Prop 65 labeling, TSCA certificates, and/or other applicable testing /certificates. Adhere to U.S. CBP’s WPM requirements and collect all pallet fumigation/heat treatment documentation prior to ship window, when applicable. Partner with the Legal Department to review cosmetic certificates of compliance and to ensure correct verbiage is used in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations

Proficiency with Microsoft Suite products with a strong working knowledge of Excel, Adobe, and Google Sheets.

Direct experience with U.S. Consumer Product Safety regulations (CPSIA, FDA, FCC, FTC, EPA) and compliance processes.

Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or 3 to 5 years of import regulatory testing experience .
