Description
This contractor position is in support of the FAA's Aviation Weather Office requirement to conduct work for the development of new and enhanced aviation weather capabilities and systems, the sustainment and transition of legacy National Airspace System (NAS) subsystems, and other weather efforts Expertise and Functions Provide overall management of personnel working on individual CLINs. Develops monthly reports that include Task Order accomplishments, breakdown of labor hours and funds expended during the reporting period, and issues Ensure timeliness, accuracy and clarity of Task Order deliverables and addresses resource needs Fully competent in the acquisition process, and able to interpret and apply acquisition policy Perform overall program management for total system Apply and correlate knowledge of multiple disciplines (engineering, logistics, sustainment, financial management, contracting, configuration management) to achieve cohesive program execution in accordance with overall cost, schedule & performance requirements Develop and implement integrated program plans, budgeting positions, schedules, analyses, and execution strategy Perform tasks at all phases of system lifecycle to include: concept development, design, fabrication, test, manufacturing/production, sustainment, and disposal Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints; identify and quantify associated risks May be called upon to present and defend program position at program reviews and conferences Provide higher management with status and decision information on key program issues Other duties as assigned Requirements Education/Training (both required and desired): Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, or other related field required Experience: 15+ years of Acquisition Management experience with Government or Industry, at least 10 years of which must be in a Federal Aviation Administration program as either a program or project manager Fully competent in the acquisition process, and able to interpret and apply acquisition policy Security: Must be a US citizen Ability to obtain a security clearance may be requiredVacancy expired!
