Description We are currently seeking a seasoned professional with a strong background in drayage and carrier relations to join our team as a Drayage Operations Lead. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of the transportation industry, who can efficiently manage our carrier partnerships and optimize our drayage operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving growth, enhancing operational efficiencies, and ensuring the satisfaction of both our carriers and customers.Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, negotiating contracts and rates to ensure competitive service offerings.

Oversee daily drayage operations, coordinating between carriers, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth and timely cargo movement.

Implement strategies to optimize routing, reduce transportation costs, and improve service levels.

Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes affecting drayage operations, adapting strategies as necessary.

Resolve any issues related to carrier performance, ensuring any disruptions are minimized and communicated effectively to all stakeholders.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Proven experience in carrier relations, specifically within the drayage sector.

Strong understanding of the logistics and transportation industry, including regulatory and environmental considerations.

Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.

Ability to analyze data to inform decision-making and improve operations.

Proactive problem solver with a customer-centric mindset.

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
