The Microsoft 365 Engineer should have proven experience in the major Microsoft 365 components (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint) with strong technical knowledge and operational skills to ensure first class global end-user experience on a day-to-day basis. As a Microsoft 365 SME you will be engaged in managing the outsourced operational aspects of Microsoft 365 technologies, identify areas and execute improvement actions to further improve our operational excellence, drive enduser adoption and participate/lead projects touching all technologies associated with the global Workplace Innovation team. You will be part of the Workplace Innovation team, which is responsible for Microsoft 365, telephony, meeting room and contact center solutions on a global level.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage the outsourced operational aspects of Microsoft 365 associated technologies
  • Works with our partners to ensure appropriate service levels are met and be the escalation point for when service levels are missed or at risk
  • Coordinates changes and resolution of issues with infrastructure, change, and support teams
  • Assist in design and implementation of enterprise solutions
  • Support, participate and lead infrastructure technology projects
  • Review and analyze reporting on ITSM processes and Service Level Agreements to identify inefficiencies and areas where improvements should be made
  • Identify and work to resolve any problems in the service delivery processes
  • Develop and implement procedures and documentation for ensuring ongoing operations and proactive maintenance of the environment consistent with industry standards
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of complex issues
  • Complete projects/improvements/deliverables needed to implement technology, processes, or services to meet requirements including the documentation, testing and implementation
  • Work as key driver to facilitate partner teams to ensure delivery provides the desired outcomes
  • Demonstrates technical leadership and exerts influence outside of immediate team
  • Works with other IT teams for continuous improvement of the overall IT organization
  • Effectively collaborate and coordinate across geographically distributed teams
  • Focus on continuous process improvement and user experience by increasing IT’s value through innovation and emerging technologies
  • Ensure communication of change implementations and service impacts

Qualifications:The candidate will bring a combination of technology expertise, engineering support and ownership, customer service and solution-oriented mindset together. In addition, this person should also possess:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with demonstrated work experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Proven experience of Microsoft 365 technologies including Exchange, Teams and SharePoint
  • Good knowledge of Azure AD (Active Directory)
  • Good knowledge of PowerShell and leveraging it for automation
  • Strong Knowledge of Exchange in a Hybrid and Online only model
  • Knowledge of Proofpoint and other Mail Hygiene tools
  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure and IT security
  • Experience with IT operational stability
  • Ability to identify root-cause issues/improvement opportunities, and design approaches/programs/products to improve overall quality assurance
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong planning, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Able to align and work with diverse global stakeholders
  • Strong humility, listening, creativity, and negotiation skills
  • Experience in managing IT infrastructure for a medium-to-large organization
  • Customer service orientation and relationship management skills with organizational partners and customers
  • Experience managing outsourced IT providers and experience working with a variety of third-party technical organizations to achieve business goals
  • Familiarity with LAN/WAN technologies
  • Extensive experience in troubleshooting issues
  • Self-motivated - demonstrates personal drive and ambition, fostering innovation, focusing on delivery to our customers.
