Job Description SummaryThis Program Manager is responsible for leading a highly visible and impactful new product development project at MDS CCMD by working seamlessly with a complex core team across marketing, R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Operations and Medical Affairs etcetera from planning phase through post market launch of a new product. He/She will define the program architecture and drive successful project / program execution globally by effectively develop, organize and motivate a highly skilled cross-functional team. In addition, they will create and drive go-to-market strategy and ensure successful commercial launch. We have over 65,000 employees and a presence in virtually every country around the world to address some of the most challenging global health issues.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Lead cross-functional global team comprising of product development, quality, regulatory, clinical, manufacturing, and marketing to develop, communicate, and measure progress against goals and metrics for program success.

Applies extensive technical expertise & has full knowledge of related disciplines. Develops technical and business process solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. In partnership with the platform and core team member, leads the development and commercialization, go to market and launch strategy for the project(s).

Lead project and product cost against budget; reports and recommends on recovery plans vital to achieve budget targets.

Has technical and practical knowledge of the core Program Management Body of Knowledge concepts and principles (e.g., Agile, work breakdown structure, identification of critical path, waterfall planning)

Ability to establish relationships quickly with a broad range of constituents. Must possess a collaborative style to work effectively throughout the organization. Able to work with people in such a manner as to build high morale and group dedication to goals and objectives.

Interface closely with functional leaders at all levels in the organization

Coordinate with leaders of manufacturing to plan and implement transfer of products from design to production.

Exercise performance management of all team members in collaboration with respective functional managers

Demonstrate strategic application through understanding of Program Management and its impact to business

Able to take action in solving problems and making decisions while showing good judgment and a realistic understanding of issues, able to use reason, even when dealing with emotional topics.

Has experience, knowledge and passion for new product development and ability to lead product development initiatives of new medical devices from planning to launch in the market in mass production, according to Design Control guidance from FDA.

Experience working with multiple regulatory bodies globally is a plus.

Clear understanding of how to assimilate large amounts of information/data into understandable and concise presentations.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Required:Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in biomedical engineering, chemical engineering or other scientific discipline. Advanced degrees / MBA preferred.

PMP certification is a plus.

Minimum of 5+ years relevant Project Management experience in highly regulated industries, preferably medical device industry.

Minimum of 8+ years of team leadership in product design and development with progressively increasing complexity and responsibilities.

Has experience, knowledge and passion for new product development and ability to lead product development initiatives of new medical devices from planning to launch in the market in mass production, according to Design Control guidance from FDA.

Experience working with multiple regulatory bodies globally is a plus.
