Job Title: Database Developer

Work Location: Freehold, NJ OR Alpharetta, GA

Duration: Long Term Contract

The secondary location is Alpharetta, GA

This position is currently remote but once COVID restrictions are lifted and the team starts going into the office this person will be expected too as well.

Very strong Cobol/JCL/DB2 person and good experience in either Teradata or Oracle or SQL server.

Job Description:

Must Have Skills (Most Important):
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with COBOL, DB2, JCL, TSO/ISPF, CA7, File-aid
  • Proficient in understanding and create complex SQL queries (DB2/ORACLE/Teradata)
  • Knowledge of version control practices and procedures (Endevor & GIT)
  • SQL development knowledge of Oracle backend database
  • Teradata Experience with ETL and Teradata utilities (BTEQ, MLOAD, FLOAD, FAST EXPORT)
  • Highly proficient in mainframe and multi task to work in other technologies (ORACLE PL/SQL, Teradata)

Desired Skills:
  • Experience in Unix shell scripting
  • Experience in SQL server

Job Duties: Position will be responsible specific to:
  • Research complex COBOL programs and address data issues.
  • Provide batch application support
  • Create and Enhance COBOL/JCL components as per project requirements
  • Create and Enhance oracle store procedures
  • Build new ETL workflow in Teradata and Unix
  • Work with the onshore and offshore team in application design and build using the technologies defined in the must have skills
  • Communicate status of the activities effectively with management or clients
