Chemist Onsite 5 days a week Shift 1st ( Monday to Friday) 09.00am to 5.00pm Ideal candidate would hold a BS degree preferably in Chemistry or 1-3years analytical laboratory experience in a manufacturing environment

Summary Perform chemical and/or physical testing on all in-process, finished, validation, and R&D products according to applicable procedures while following all relevant laboratory TMs, SOPs, etc. Provide support for or perform calibration, laboratory investigations, and projects as required. Participate in advanced training on equipment and/or methods, coordinate training of Chemist I, and assist as needed in validation and method development.

Duties Samples and analyzes incoming raw materials in accordance with standard methods and specifications, properly records results and renders a decision concerning acceptability and initiates appropriate paperwork to accept or reject material. Follows Belle Mead Quality System, related SOPs, Control Plan and current work instructions. Evaluates raw chemicals, line washout samples and manufactured bulk records results. Issues appropriate paperwork to accept or reject product. Performs job tasks according to B.O.M.'s, Specs, test methods and SOP's. Maintains accurate and updated summary records for each material analyzed. Tests finished product samples in accordance with specifications and renders a decision concerning acceptability. Responsible for raw materials and consumer finished product stability tests as assigned by Department Manager. Assists Belle Mead's Processing Teams with batch process adjustments. Prepares, dates and standardizes laboratory reagents as assigned. Works with and assists Processing Teams as a Quality Assurance resource to give them clarification, direction and help with issues/problems. Calculates and assists with the rework of unacceptable batches. Reports inconsistencies in specification, B.O.M. or test methods, including where material test results do not meet specification. Reviews on an on-going basis existing methods and specifications and makes recommendations for changes and/or corrections. COMPETENCIES B.S. degree in a science field preferably Chemistry with 1-3 years experience in an analytical laboratory of an industrial and/or manufacturing plant environment. Ability to work with Lab instruments such as NIR, UV/VIS, HPLC etc Ability to read, interpret and execute written procedures Ability to work with minimal supervision Possess excellent time management, strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to accurately complete paperwork/documentation. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and/or employees. Belle Mead Quality System, related SOPs, Control Plans and Work Instructions. Proficiency in Windows-based applications (Word, Excel, etc.) as well as Outlook, Internet Explorer. Must have excellent team work and leadership skills. Must be able to handle chemicals within permissible level. Must understand Metric system and be able to convert units
