Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect Consultant with our client in the financial industry in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12 month + contract position.

Responsibilities:
  • Candidate is expected to engage with Trading Desk, Market Risk, Finance, and other business groups in this role and also he is expected to manage resources both in US and in India
  • The role will encompass designing and developing solutions, enhancing our automated testing capabilities
  • Being a Python/Quartz application, solid Python experience is highly advantageous though we may consider proven software engineers transitioning from other languages like Java, C

Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Python developer
  • Fluency in the Python language + Standard libraries
  • Knowledge of test-driven development
  • A strong background in Fixed Income products
  • Good understanding on OOP fundamentals, Data structures, Design patterns. Ability to analyze, design, develop and troubleshoot new and existing applications
  • Flexible to adopt new technologies
  • Investment banking / financial background (preference for people who have Investment Banking domain experience)
  • Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp)

Desired Skills:
  • Grid computing
  • NoSQL/Document Oriented databases - Cassandra, MongoDB
  • Highly Available/Scalable Search - Elasticsearch, Solr
