Responsible for capturing and refining business and/or system requirements (based on specialization). Works with stakeholders to understand their needs, analyze problems, and capture their requirements, and then working closely with the Development Team to refine the requirement into specifications that can be executed by the team. Possess a working knowledge of the business and/or technical domain based on their specialization. Leverages experience and understanding of stakeholder needs to help create a solution, envisions the solution to solve a problem (manual or through software). Performs Cost/Benefit Analysis to align the technology to business strategy. Gathers & catalogs functional, non-functional, and technical requirements for stakeholder requests. Determines the impact of modifications and enhancements on the application. Acts as the product(s) subject matter expert to support scope and requirement decisions. Ensures changes to the application are compliant with bank standards and policies. Assists users and development team with application testing and troubleshooting, and may help configure test solutions to validate functional and system needs. Identifies, document and troubleshoot application related problems. Documents process, procedures and workflows associated with applications. Leads or participate in continuous improvement efforts; Building expertise in creating, analyzing, and improving processes. Creates, maintains and presents training materials for end-users. Global Risk Analytics (GRA) Technology team has an opening for an Analyst. This role will initial be focused on a large strategic project in the GRA Tech portfolio called GRA Core Platform (Google Cloud Platform). Google Cloud Platform is a new paradigm in how our business partners will operate. Google Cloud Platform provides the business with an end-to-end model development and execution capabilities; decoupling data, code and infrastructure allowing for scalable execution and seamless model promotion. GRA quantitative model developers will use the platform to develop and test their models using the production tools and data and when ready seamlessly promote the model for production use. Models will run in workflows which are built and orchestrated by the business using reusable components that technology has built.

This position is a Program Level Technical/Functional Analyst role works closely with senior business and Technology stakeholders and will report to the Product Manager/Lead Analyst for Group Risk Analytics Technology team. The analyst will work closely with the Product Manager/Lead Analyst and be responsible to independently lead analysis efforts with a team and/or as an individual contributor. Knowledge of quantitative/analytical modeling for risk management and capital planning is preferred, since the user base we support is made up of quantitative model developers and the operations users who run the risk systems we build. This is a unique opportunity for the right analyst with excellent technical, business, communication, and leadership skills.

The Analyst will be expected to perform analysis in support of development, test, and production activities. Resource should have experience in Python object oriented development and hands on experience with Hadoop, RDBMS databases and knowledge of Bank of America internal data sources, Credit Loss Forecasting and/or Risk Management. Individual will be expected to do process modeling, technical analysis and technical requirement definition. Familiar with Agile methodology and creating Epics and Stories based on their analysis activities. Work with developers (on and off-shore) and business partners to understand / capture new requirements and to conduct testing, resolve issues. The resource will assist in debugging issues for the Platform the tech team is building and also support model developers "adopting" the platform to build and orchestrate their own business processes. Model developers will integrate their models directly with the platform's capabilities to create and test business process through a self-service process known as "adoption." Ability to perform technical analysis and document, draw architecture diagrams.
