Job Title: Business Analyst (Asset Servicing)

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Duration (Expected): 6 Months Contract with possible extension or permanent depending on performance of the candidate and client needs.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities: Process Voluntary Corporate Action events for US, Canadian, and Latin American securities Process ad-hoc instructions for conversions, SPAC Splits (detachments), warrants, exchanges, DRS, and legend removals Perform key reconciliations and controls to support processing of the corporate action lifecycle and break management Ensure timely handling of notifications, elections, entitlement calculations, and follow through with the applicable outturn bookings Identify and manage any risk within the event /process and manage events in various Asset Servicing systems; escalating issues to management Manage communications related to the process including chasing depositories and agents for missing corporate action information/allocations Develop effective working relationships with both internal and external parties as a result of direct interaction with external Clients, Counterparty's, Traders, and Client Executives Identify process improvements/breakdowns/control gaps, propose solutions, and work with the management/project team to implement across the group

Criteria/Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience: Understanding of fixed income and equity products, the trade and corporate action lifecycles required Subject matter expert experience and knowledge of Corporate Actions processing required Understanding of Stock Record; long/shorts, and various position types including stock lending positions

Skills: Advanced experience level with Excel, Outlook, and experience with web based applications required Demonstrated risk awareness/management and pro-active in identifying and resolving potential problems before they arise Strong Client focus and excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills; ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills with proven reconciliation abilities Excellent problem solving skills Highly numerate Proven record of accuracy and effective time management and prioritization skills with the ability to work in multiple systems and handle high email and event volumes

Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience Competencies: Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment, with conflicting demands and under tight deadlines, as part of a team, and be very self-motivated Proactive approach to problem resolution Able to successfully react to workload changes Client focused Resilient Self-motivated Goals-focused and results-driven Able to grasp new concepts quickly
