Job Description:

Responsible for designing and developing complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Ensures that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Ensures solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Possess strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry, and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns. At this level, specializations start to form in either Architecture, Test Engineering or DevOp. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements. Participates and guides team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas. Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements. Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements. Assists team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work. Designs/develops/modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained. Designs/develops/maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance). Sets up and develops a continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline. Automates manual release activities. Mentors other Software Engineers and coaches team on CI-CD practices and automating tool stack. Individual contributor.

We are looking for a senior creative, seasoned, full-stack engineer to enhance and manage our existing applications using the latest standards, methodologies and frameworks. Successful candidates will have a minimum of eight years' experience with the required skills listed below:

The senior engineer will be expected to:
  • Be comfortable with both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries
  • Understand and convert macro level requirements into actionable tasks
  • Understand the continuous integration and continuous deployment lifecycle
  • Understand threat modeling concepts and how to implement them
  • Understand accessibility standards and how to implement them
  • Design and implement the overall web architecture

Required Skills:
  • 10+ years of overall IT experience
  • At least three years' experience with: MuleSoft
  • Solid Java programming language experience
  • Strong experience building REST APIs using both Java & MuleSoft
  • Experience with Spring framework, Spring Boot and Spring MVC
  • Experience implementing Kafka to integrate platforms
  • Familiarity with a relevant and globally supported framework-both front-end and back-end, if necessary (e.g., React )
  • Thorough understanding of user experience and possibly even product strategy
  • Experience implementing testing platforms and unit tests
  • Fundamental knowledge of IT Service Management/ITIL processes and tools
  • Proficiency with Git
  • Lead junior developers (associates) and contractors on design, development and code reviews
  • Solid experience working in an Agile environment and participating and contributing to Scrum and/or Kanban routines

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with mobile responsive designs
  • Experience transitioning applications from legacy UI technologies (AngularJS) to modern web frameworks (React or Angular)
  • Experience transitioning application back end from a monolithic framework to microservices based architecture
  • Good understanding of Oracle database and query tuning in Oracle
