Our client, a banking company, is seeking an IT Business Analyst III - Daily

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Business Overview:

CIB technology is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Business Analyst for Collateral Management business.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the new initiatives and enhancements to existing functionality to meet new business or regulatory needs for Collateral Management
  • Define potential solutions at a high level, ensuring that any proposed solution meets the overall Domain standards in terms of functionality and architecture
  • Convert business requirements into Functional specifications and System requirements
  • Explain the functional/system requirements to the development team
  • Setup and coordinate meetings associated with various project work-streams.
  • Liaise with IT teams negotiating deliveries on the dependencies of the specific work-streams.
  • Escalate blocking issues to the appropriate level of management.
  • Provide regular reporting of deliveries against key milestones, proactive notification of risks and issues
  • Investigation of any issues, determining root causes and obtaining resolution.
  • Develop Test Procedures for various deliverables, in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Conduct qualification of releases, System Integrated testing, User Acceptance testing
  • Prepare User guides, Business Cases, Training Material, Production Support procedures
  • Take ownership of project deliverables against agreed scope, budget and timeline.
  • Drive project delivery by maintaining project plans, organize status meetings, and prepare minutes. Develop user training and user guides.
  • Ensure that all projects follow the Group Policies and Procedure - including proper Project Governance and reporting.
  • Provide reporting to various Governance Operating Committees and Steering Committees to ensure project statuses are accurate, informative and timely.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with Sponsors and Stakeholders

Minimum:

  • 8+ years' experience as a Project Manager / Business Analyst working exclusively on projects within Global Markets;
  • 3+ years' experience working on Collateral Management projects
  • Essential Project Delivery Skills:
  • Strong Business analysis and documentation skills with ability to think logically to analyze problems and define efficient solutions;
  • Ability to develop, implement and execute a structured testing approach.
  • Experience of designing or re-engineering processes to support the business function.
  • Knowledge of analysis methodologies (e.g AGILE user stories).
  • Good understanding of OTC Margining and ability to interpret business requests and translate to a functional solution
  • Knowledge of trade life cycle
  • Excellent verbal / presentation and written communication skills with the ability to document clear and concise business and functional requirements documents;
  • Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with representatives of a diverse range of departments globally;

Ability to:

  • Work both independently and with a team in a dynamic environment;
  • Prioritize, organize own work and manage time effectively;
  • Work within an environment with high pressure on timeliness and quality of deliveries;

Preferred:

  • Good understanding of OTC products and OTC trade life cycle, including an understanding of data flows between the respective systems
  • Exposure to back office and settlement processes.

  • Static, Market data/ prices
  • P/L impact.

Essential Technical Skills:

  • Understanding complex systems, analyzing, resolving issues, identifying feasible/pragmatic solutions, ability to present options and to provide clear concise summaries including relevant advantages/disadvantages to allow a business decision to be taken
  • High standard of documentation, including writing clear and concise functional requirements.
  • Liaising with a dispersed set of stakeholders (functionally and geographically).
  • Good knowledge of MS Project, Excel, Access, Visio and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to write basic/ Intermediate SQL
  • Process flow documentation experience.
  • Comfortable manipulating and presenting data.
  • This is a non-technical role but a strong appreciation of IT and the ability and experience to effectively communicate with technology are essential.
