Job Description:

Our QS team functions as a core quantitative support group in Bank of America Merrill Lynch focusing on providing finance, business, data, and technology solutions across Risk, Trading, Funding, and Operations. Develops financial modeling tools for supporting derivative products, applying theory, mathematics, and/or business logic behind various models. Builds out analytical and technical tools for validation of new models/methodologies. Provides in-depth impact analysis or scenario analysis of quantitative measurements. Develops reporting of various risk metrics complied with business and regulatory requirements. Understands financial products across all asset classes and has extensive knowledge of technical implementations. Work is project and initiative driven. Must be comfortable working in an open ended environment where project requirements are subject to evolve over time. Candidate should be inquisitive and able to collect information from various desks and teams throughout the bank. Must be able to work individually as well as in small teams.

• Works as part of a broader team on delivery of projects spanning multiple quantitative domains.• Leads a large project or multiple projects that are significant in scope and impact.• Works independently, with limited direction, and is evaluated through end results.• Interacts extensively with internal or external contacts to identify, research, analyze and resolve complex problems.• Will leverage strong quantitative and programming skills to build deep knowledge of the banks pricing & risk libraries and infrastructure. Use this knowledge to serve as a trusted partners to clients.
