- PS experience managing the PS structures, project and budget profiles, PS accounting and planning
- Personnel Management specifically for HR master data structure to manage personnel records and time entry
- CATS for recording, approving, reporting and posting time
- In the area of project and resource management, the focus is on planning hours, executing planned activities and managing actual time
- Responsible for analyzing, solutioning, designing, configuring and testing within the OTC Team area, main focus on PS and HR specifically project structures and profiles, status management, budgeting and cost/rev planning, personnel administration, CATS time management and resource planning
- Gather, analyze and translate business requirements into process and functional system solutions to satisfy the business needs and improve user experience
- Design functionality, reports, integrations and user interfaces; ability to think logically and creatively to deliver robust solutions working in a customized SAP environment, with a strong understanding of standard SAP processes
- Design, build and support integrations to external project and resource management systems and corporate HR system
- Provide Level 4 support - Ability to identify and diagnose problems and resolve/implement solutions
- Perform comprehensive testing of solutions, including regression testing before any changes are released to QA and Production
- Prepare comprehensive documentation according to the project methodology for all aspects of requirements, development, testing and implementation
- Closely work with Business Analysts to ensure that all core business requirements are satisfied
- Perform walkthroughs and demos – demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills in order to express identified solutions in terms understood by the business
- Ensure successful deployment and implementation of solutions and assess user feedback
- Be able to adapt and quickly learn new areas to be able to deliver integrated solutions
- Liaise with other CoE members to maintain and apply coherent, optimized, integrated, and standardized processes across functional areas
- Review with team members and sign-off solution design, functional/configuration specs and unit test results for the functional area
- Coach functional resources; provide technical expertise, guidance and direction
- Ensure assigned deliverables are managed and delivered on a timely basis in accordance with the project plan
- Be proactive and have ability to multi-task, work will be required on multiple projects as well as leading some projects
- Liaise with other CoE team members to communicate planned releases, change impact, and co-ordinate communication and training needs
- In ECC 6.0, candidate must have an advanced understanding and functional knowledge coupled with hands-on experience of configuring and delivering business solutions in PS, HR, CATS and related operational areas, with full knowledge of integration points to SD/MM/FI/CO
- Configuration experience within Project Systems: WBS Operative Structures, Cost/Revenue Planning, Budgeting, Status management and validations
- Configuration in Personnel Administration and Time Management: Personnel records, organizational assignment, work schedules, DEP profiles, info types, time recording, time evaluation, reporting
- Prior experience of adapting SAP to a professional services environment
- Knowledge of SAP PPM highly beneficial
- Experience of UX/UI application design
- Experience of project and resource management software implementations preferred
- Familiarity with Resource Related billing
- Well versed in the various processes of implementation projects including, but not be limited to, business requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, data conversion, reporting etc.
- Excellent team player and collaborator. Person should be a good liaison between the project team, business process owners, and other stake holders.
- Must have customized development experience – designing logic for user exits, BAPIs, enhancement points, custom application design, reports, interfaces etc.
- Global implementation experience required, particularly within a SAP COE will be a distinct advantage
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Proven ability to lead other Team members on projects
- Must demonstrate initiative, critical and creative thinking, strong analytical and problem solving skills
- BS or BA degree in Information Technology or Business related field or equivalent years of experience in the field required
- Minimum of 10 years hands-on experience of configuration and delivering business solutions in required areas and completion, at minimum, of 4 distinct SAP implementations
- Experience working with waterfall and agile project methodologies
- Experience collaborating with a distributed team is valued
- Be prepared to travel as required. (minimal)
