- 3-7 years NAS experience
- 2-3 years of Pure storage knowledge
- Scripting knowledge in python required
- Strong knowledge of NetApp hardware including: FAS 8080, 8060, Brocade switches, OnCommand/DFM, x50
- Good knowledge of RHEL, Windows and VMWARE operating systems as they relate to the NAS infrastructure
- Strong NAS administration skills for NetApp FAS filer, MetroCluster, SVM, vfiler, snapmirror, snapshots, quotas, volumes, and networking concepts
- Python scripting with API knowledge
- Must be well-organized, responsible, have good verbal and written communication skills, and able to multitask in dynamic trading environment.
- Work as a member of a team, adhere to corporate standards and change management processes, and work to improve IT standards and policies.
- Working knowledge on backup technologies like Netbackup, TSM and DataDomain.
- Familiar with general networking and OS level troubleshooting
- Proactively monitor use and availability of all NAS infrastructure.
- Setup SVMs, vFilers, CIFS/NFS shares, qtrees/quotas, create volumes, aggregates
- Setup Automation for disaster recovery process
- Work with vendors for issues like OS upgrades, patching as required.
- Generate reports on NAS qtree, volume, alert definition, and general storage utilization.
- Troubleshoot storage migration related issues and takes appropriate actions.
- Liaise with system teams and user base for storage cut over scheduling.
- Liaise with IT Production Engineers to gather requirements, design and deploy NAS storage
- Proactively identify and document the Operational risks within the environment and develop plan to remediate.
- Generate reports and analysis on storage usage
- Adhere to service level agreements with end-users regarding storage allocations, limitations and availability
- Allocate storage to end-users and development teams based on established departmental requirements and available space
- Independently handle storage related projects such as installation, decommission, migration with efficiency and least impact.
- Develop and implement industry best practices with the storage environment.
