Tradeweb is seeking a hands-on Software Architect. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a new development group that is tasked with revamping one of our current platforms. Tradeweb Technology jobs are fully remote. The Tradeweb Technology hub is located in our Jersey City office which can be used for team meetings and collaboration efforts. There may be days where travel to the Jersey City office is recommended for organizational off-sites.
Job Responsibilities:- Assess the current architecture of a mature platform
- Improve operational visibility into the platform through metrics
- Identify performance bottlenecks
- Articulate a plan to get rid of technical debt
- Modernize development processes and CI/CD
- Drive architecture to modernize the existing system
- Optimize trading platform to increase trading volumes an reduce complexity
- College degree in computer science or a related discipline, or an equivalent level of technical knowledge required.
- 7+ years of C development experience, Java experience a plus
- Experience building high performance event driven multithreaded applications using C
- Prior experience working on a fixed-income trading platform
- Strong analytical skills to help development and support teams troubleshoot and fix production issues
- Deep knowledge of large-scale distributed real-time systems architecture
