Role Summary:

Develop, enhance and support a range of critical applications built in .NET4.6+. The successful candidate will be expected to liaise with both technical and business colleagues locally in Jersey City and at international locations in Singapore, India and London. The successful candidate will work as part of a wider development team spread between Jersey City, Singapore and India. Current team members will provide support to enable you to familiarize yourself with the relevant functional aspects of the development role.

Core Skills:
  • You can code. Strong fundamentals, including multi-threading, garbage collection concepts and performance tuning. You will develop, enhance and support a range of critical web based .NET4.6+ applications

You have at least 3 to 5 years of development experience in these skillsets
  • MS SQL Server & TSQL
  • SSIS & SSRS
  • Git/Bitbucket
  • Autosys or similar job scheduler.
  • .NET Framework 4.5+ / .Net CORE (C#)
  • REST Web API
  • Angular (v2+), JavaScript
  • ASP.Net MVC
  • Dependency injection and frameworks, e.g. Unity
  • Some practical experience with TDD and CI/CD

You have a good design sense including knowledge of effective design approaches and patterns. When to apply and when not to apply design patterns. Clean, supportable, testable and performant code being the goal.

You have an innovative mindset. Not afraid to ask why and question established practices, always looking to own and improve quality via automation and tooling.

You have a strong understanding of agile methodology, with an emphasis on test driven development & continuous integration.

You have strong analytical skills required to develop solutions for complex business requirements.

You are a good team player and collaborative. You will be expected to liaise with both technical and business colleagues locally in Singapore and at other locations in UK, India, New York and Chicago. You will work as part of a wider development team spread between London, Singapore and India.

You are a good communicator to fellow developers, management and business stakeholders.

You are broadly skilled who can pick up new technologies and concepts and apply them to your day to day work.

You should be able to work independently

What you can expect:

Global Collateral Technology supports Collateral Management Operations in Global Markets Operations Technology with a number of applications to manage their day to day collateral business processes across four lines of businesses - OTC Derivatives, Fixed Income, Futures & Options (Exchange Traded Derivatives) and Prime Brokerage. It is currently implementing a multiyear initiative to setup a single strategic platform to support all the four lines of businesses.

This position will be part of the large initiative to implement this global strategic platform. We will be leading the development of architectural changes to the platform as well as seeking opportunities to innovate on technologies.
  • Work with technology and business groups in the region and globally to deliver high quality products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide production support for applications.
  • Manage project deliveries independently.
  • Work on Full development cycle, inclusive of automation QA.
  • Communicate and discuss with Business and other stakeholder on Specifications

LOB General:

Responsible for developing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business goals. Ensures that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Codes solutions, unit tests, and ensures the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust and well-tested interfaces. Familiar with development and testing practices of the bank. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements. Participates and guides team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas. Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements. Assists team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work. Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance); Analyzes test reports, identifies any test issues/errors; Triages the underlying cause. Documents and communicates required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality. Participates, contributes and can coach team members in the delivery/release (CI-CD) events. e.g. branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution, release notes. Individual contributor.
