Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Network Engineer II for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Iselin, NJ. Responsibilities :
- Racking and stacking hardware in Data Center
- Provide and maintain data cabling and associated documentation within the data center.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting/diagnosis
- Provide support at multiple sites stretching across multiple cities.
- Replace defective components and test the final product to assure that quality requirements are met
- Communicate effectively in tickets, emails, to customers, management, and peers
- Must have good organization skills. Neatness counts
- Must have a valid driver license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to carry and/or lift tools, kits or parts of up to 50-75 lbs.
- Completing paperwork including time sheet, expense reports, and daily reports accurately and on time
- Assist with shipping and receiving and its associated processes
- Work with vendors/customers to troubleshoot/resolve issues
- Provide proactive and break fix support for alarm/ticket remediation related to facilities/telecom/data
- center equipment

- Managing DCIM tool

- Utilize network test equipment including a power meter and light source, CAT 6 Cable Tester.
- Provide support at multiple sites stretching across multiple cities.
