Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Tax Analyst for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Jersey City, NJ. Responsibilities :
- Execute day-to-day Payroll processing such as data entry, mass uploads, reversals/reissues, and scheduling/processing jobs
- Review, analyze, and reconcile payroll and other payroll related data according to established timelines, standards, and procedure
- Calculate and run remote and off-cycle pay checks. Calculate retroactive salary data as required
- Review, verify, and clear payroll claims
- Calculate, and perform payroll adjustments
- Facilitate interface processing controls in payroll processing
- Perform audits and validations of payroll transactions. Examine and verify payroll related data for accuracy and consistency
- Handle escalated and/or sensitive payroll requests and issues related to processing via email, case management tool (HR Connect Online).
- Execute transactions according to established procedures
- Ensure all company, federal, state, local, and other applicable compliance requirements are met. Ensure all Americas payroll controls are performed in a timely and accurate manner
- Support creation of dashboards and metrics that reflect payroll activities to communicate with the manager
- Assist Payroll Managers with day-to-day execution of duties and support the team regarding proper procedures, policies, and requirements
- Examine and verify payroll related data for accuracy and consistency
- Meet regularly with third party payroll provider to ensure service levels are being met and issues are being handled based on terms of contract
- Interact with the others HR functions to ensure timely and error free transactions.
- Process deductions and contributions
- Manage bonuses and deferred compensation process
- Process employee time attendance
- Run reconciliation analysis
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Payroll tax experience a must
- Strong Excel skills and basic Word and PowerPoint skills
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Payroll
- Some interdisciplinary perspective and experience; end-to-end knowledge of processes
- Experience with payroll processes, procedures, controls, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Experience with payroll applications and service providers desirable (ADP desirable)
- Previous experience working within Financial Services desirable
- Experience in a service delivery model with shared services preferred
- Experience working for a multi-national firm
- Be able to clearly communicate verbally and in a written capacity.
- Be able to collaborate and work cohesively within a team
- Be able to adapt effectively as business needs change
- Some broader HR domain knowledge & experience preferable
