Position: Solutions Architect (Global Markets/Banking Exp) Location: Jersey City, NJ or NYC - Fully Remote to start but need to be local Duration: 12 month contract to hire Interview Mode: Online AI Assessment and then 1 final video interview New requirement: All candidates must be fully vaccinated Job Description: This is a high-profile role working in a fast paced Global Markets environment requiring individual with flexibility, acumen and the ability to assimilate, organize and present information quickly for senior technology executives. This is a critical role requiring a highly motivated and dedicated individual who can provide procedural and technical support to the Global Markets Technology teams. This role will also partner with leaders in Software Engineering, Global Information Security (GIS), Core Technology Infrastructure (CTI) Engineering, and Application Production Services (APS) roles to define objective reliability goals for the services they support. The individuals in this role will spend a considerable portion of their time utilizing their engineering skills to help with triage of major events and programs impacting Global Markets platforms to drive improvements in the reliability and efficiency of applications and their underlying hosting infrastructure platforms. The individual will also focus on driving efficiency by promoting collaboration and continuous improvements through standard and scalable application and/or infrastructure playbooks to be leveraged. Key Responsibilities: Engage as a subject matter expert (SME) to triage major events, perform impact analysis, manage the immediate risk and centralize the communication for the leadership team. Coordinate the impact of a major event on Global Markets platforms with business aligned technology teams and drive immediate and long term solutions with respective teams owning the action. Drive strategic improvements and increase production stability from lessons learned in previously handled major events. Collaborate with Development and Infrastructure teams to deliver technical solutions that provide the performance capabilities required in the application across the technology stacks. Assess monitoring for new changes with development and engineering partners to enhance application and system monitoring designs as well as monitoring dashboards for new projects and initiatives. Identify and plan for capacity and performance tuning in critical systems. Establish engagement procedures, drives adoption of newly built SWAT capabilities and continually improve processes in the solution delivery process across teams. Identify vulnerabilities and opportunities for application stability and reliability improvements and define solutions to reduce manual support effort. Ability to identify solutions for complex problems in infrastructure or application technologies to improve production stability. Desired Skillset: Senior Solutions Architect with hands-on software engineering experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in production support process including Incident, Problem and Change Management. Institutional knowledge of the front to back Global Markets trade lifecycle across products such as Equities; Fixed Income, Currency & Commodities (FICC); Prime Brokerage; etc. Advanced Excel Data Analytics skillset Strong understanding of the Information Security Principles and technology infrastructure components such as networks, database, messaging, operating system etc. Requirements: - Operating systems: Linux/Unix, Windows
