We are looking for Accounting Manager to perform daily accounting tasks and support the team in our centralized accounting department. The Accounting Manager is responsible in the management of the financial and coordination of accounting functions, including monthly, year-end close, and assist in regulatory compliance audits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare monthly financial statements accurately and submit to the manufacturer and management in a timely manner
Maintain full knowledge of manufacturer incentive programs, program rules and payment structures. Work with operations to ensure achievement and ensure team members are up to date on program rules
Monitor daily and reconcile monthly banking activities
Audit and review ledgers, schedules and manage accounting team to resolve any discrepancies
Reconciliation of schedules (floor plan, parts statement) and resolution of account related issues
Ensure accounting records are accurately maintained
Calculation of monthly commissions and ensure compliance based on approved pay plan
Responsible for external reporting including bank, sales tax and filing requirements with the regulatory agencies
Must be familiar with all aspects of automotive bookkeeping
Assist in the day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions
Work closely with the operations on issues related to accounting matters
Collaborate/partner with operations to address opportunities and develop action plans

Qualifications:
Automotive accounting experience is required
Strong computer skills
Excellent communication skills both written and oral
Positive customer service attitude
Able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy
Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency. Be able to multi-task
Team building - able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives
Sets expectations and monitors delegated activities to team members
